Must-attend crypto and blockchain events in 2022

If you are a blockchain startup or enterprise interested in expanding your networks in the blockchain sector, you might be wondering which industry events to attend this year.

Although we’re now nearly halfway through 2022, there are still many blockchain events happening throughout the rest of the year.

1. Blockchain & Sustainable Economic Growth

Blockchain & Sustainable Economic Growth will be held in Washinton DC from May 25 to 27. It'll be an in-person conference focusing on the impact blockchain technology can have on sustainable industries. The event will be attended by private and government entities. In fact, there will be representation from Argentina, Saudi Arabia, the Czech Republic, Singapore and many other countries.

The event has great emphasis on using blockchain technology to address societal and environmental issues such as global warming, supply chain challenges and agricultural traceability. The event’s goal is to bridge the gap between blockchain technology’s public and private use cases.

2. Consensus 2022

Consensus is one of the biggest blockchain conferences every year. Consensus 2022 is shaping up to be an important milestone event. From June 9 until 12, most of the industry will gather in Austin, Texas to hear the latest news and developments from major projects. Many are waiting for this event to hear more news regarding ‘the merge’ which will see the transition of Ethereum from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS). Additionally, many of the largest platforms in the space will present panels and talks.

Consensus is always one of the most anticipated conferences in the blockchain calendar. This year the main speakers will be:

3. Blockchain Expo

The Blockchain Expo is another major industry event. This time it'll be held in Amsterdam from September 20 to 21. The event will have around 500 speakers from various industries and projects.

Some of the attendees include the Hyperledger Foundation, Europe Blockchain Alliance, Cointelegraph, Dutch Blockchain Coalition and others. It's expected that the event will set the tone for the blockchain industry in Europe.

4. Token 2049 Singapore

Last year, Token 2049 was held in London and in 2022, it’s Singapore's turn to host the event. It’ll be a major focus for the blockchain industry in Asia, as over 150 speakers are expected to present during the two-day event, September 28 to 29.

5. Devcon 2022

Another industry staple is Devcon 2022, to be held in Bogota, Colombia. From October 11 to 14, the blockchain industry will have its first major event in South America. Additionally, from October 7 to 16, a dedicated blockchain week is planned for those wishing to be more involved in the event.

The conference tends to be dominated by Ethereum but there will be many representatives from other projects as well. Additionally, it's at Devcon that most of the agenda for the Ethereum network is set, so it remains a major date for all those involved in the ecosystem.

6. Blockchain Fest in Singapore

Blockchain Fest is one of the most prominent crypto events in the Asian-Pacific region. It's one of the most interactive hybrid events in South East Asia focused on blockchain, crypto exchanges, cryptocurrencies, decentralized finance (Defi), NFTs, crypto mining, gaming, online payments and investment.

It'll attract 500 speakers across the entire industry and bring together enterprise-level institutions with some of the most dynamic projects in the blockchain space. The event will set the agenda for blockchain in Asia.

7. Auscryptocon

Auscryptocon will take place from September 17 to 18, 2022. One of the biggest crypto conventions in Australia, this event will also be a leading event for the Asia-Pacific region. The list of speakers includes:
